"Lake Fire" Set For Filming Soon
The short flick, "Lake Fire", will be filmed soon. Principal actors have been lined up & awaiting the right sunny day on which to shoot. The story involves a strange encounter by a lake, and the issues of guilt and responsibility.

Final "Blesseder Smith" Recordings Set
The final recordings for "The Death Of Blesseder Smith" (voice) are set for today. A rough cut has already been edited, so the film should be complete by next week. The short film is part of "The Hillplains Chronicles" collection, and is set to be the first of the series to be 100% complete.

Beyond Hillplains
Plans, scripts and story ideas are under way for another series of short films to be made after completion of "The Hillplains Chronicles". In fact, a few films that don't really mesh with "The Hillplains Chronicles" (including "Order Of The Brown Rose") will be moved to this project, along with some new scripts.

Several Scripts Finalized, Others Pending
Several new scripts have been finished, and older scripts revised. They are: "Lake Fire", "Me...Alone.", "Every Dead Girl's Dream", "The Resurrection Game", "Models Of Perfection", "Poetic Injustice" and "Trapped... In The House Of Midnight's Bloom".
So what's being worked on now? The scripts for "A Snipe Hunt", "Order Of The Brown Rose", "The Vampire Who Didn't Drink Blood" (tentative name), "One Last Walk With Grandpa" and a couple more surprises are being written or otherwise finalized.

"Up To Snuff" Final Filming Delayed
Filming of the final scenes of "Up To Snuff" was scheduled for this upcoming weekend. However, due to a scheduling conflict, a principal actor will be unavailable. The remainder of the shoot will be filmed as soon as possible. (Just not this weekend!)

The Weather... And Upcoming Projects List
The weather didn't cooperate this past weekend for the 2nd phase of "Another Hitchhiker" filming. We'll shoot it before the month is over.
Editing of existing footage from "A Night In That Room" and "Up To Snuff" is commencing.
And, as promised (yes, it said "soon" - sorry about that) too long back, here is a revised list of upcoming projects (short and feature-length) and brief synopses. Not all of these may make the final "cut", but have been developed to some degree.
* "Baleful Island" (working title) - A supernatural tale where an amnesiac finds herself on an island. She soon meets up with a small group of people who also have lost their memories. During the course of the story, characters begin to remember crucial bits and pieces of the past, but who will regain their memory first - the innocents or the villain among them?
* "Courting Death" (working title) - Two single guys each meet a woman, in different places but at the same time, and each set becomes a couple. It turns out that one is dating the daughter of a demon hunter, while the other is the daughter of a demon priest.
* "Poetic Injustice" - A parent rushes to school one evening, to watch a child recite a poem. (No, really....)
* "A Snipe Hunt" - A practical joke goes wrong and awakens a long-slumbering evil. (This one's on hold again, until the snakes go away.)
* "Captive Audience" - Several captives must tell entertaining stories, if they are to have any chance of being freed. The captor, of course, is hard to please.
* "Little Mistress Nobody" - A writer begins to notice a mysterious woman next door - one no one else can see. What is the bond between them?
* "Every Dead Girl's Dream" - Rick begins dreaming of the final moments of several recently-deceased young women. Unfortunately for him, he finds out why.
* "Eibmoz" - (tentative title) A hapless soul is misled to believe he has become an undead zombie.
* "Lake Fire" - Two young friends wander a little too far from home and have a strange encounter at a hidden lake.
* "The Halloween Specials" - Series of TV sitcom-esque Halloween special shows.
* "Models Of Perfection" - More on this one later...
* "The 'Me...' Series" - A series of short films, each focusing on a specific scenario or emotion, such as "Me...Alone", "Me...Lost", etc.
* "The Voyeur Project" - Someone has been snooping around town, recording people's private moments and such, until this one time, when he views the footage, he discovers a supernatural warning of a tragedy that is about to occur. He must decide whether to suffer the consequences (legal, embarassment and rejection) and inform the public of the warning, or whether to keep quiet and let the town suffer.
* "One Last Walk With Grandpa" - More on this one later...
* "The Matt Project" - Matt's science project is due soon, but after a series of strange events, he learns of a much larger project going on.
* "The Man Who Laid An Egg" - A man lays an egg one day, and he fears what may be inside.
* "The Vampire Who Didn't Drink Blood" - A vampire, who claims to not drink blood, begins to develop of flock of "groupies".
* "Order Of The Brown Rose" - More about this later...
* Trapped... In The House Of Midnight's Bloom" - A model, who reluctantly agrees to be photographed in a haunted house becomes trapped in the ominous place.
* "The Lord Of Hillplains Manor" (tentative name) - The new Master of Hillplains Manor reneges on a deal to sell a priceless artifact to a dealer of the occult.

"A Night In That Room", Others Nearing Completion!
More primary footage for the short film, "A Night In That Room", was shot on Thursday, May 5th.
The second phase of filming for "Another Hitchhiker" (short movie) is scheduled to be completed this weekend. Also scheduled is the remainder of "Up To Snuff" shooting for next weekend.
All three of these films are part of the collection known as "The Hillplains Chronicles".
Also, several parts of the feature-length "The Barrows Man" have been reworked, through ideas brought about during earlier filming phases. Work will begin again on this one soon.
